Adam mentioned that he has to attend Eat Pray Love with Micky. It’s the big chick flick of the summer . Adam then warned guys to go see Death Race 2 instead!
Movie Description:
Liz Gilbert had everything a modern woman is supposed to dream of having — a husband, a house, a successful career — yet like so many others, she found herself lost, confused, and searching for what she really wanted in life. Newly divorced and at a crossroads, Gilbert steps out of her comfort zone, risking everything to change her life, embarking on a journey around the world that becomes a quest for self-discovery. In her travels, she discovers the true pleasure of nourishment by eating in Italy; the power of prayer in India, and, finally and unexpectedly, the inner peace and balance of true love in Bali.
Adam spent a couple days in the Monteceto area of Santa Barbara with Micky and some friends. While visiting, they dined at the extremely expensive Stonehouse Restaurant. The food was great but you were mostly paying for the beautiful locale
We tipped off Adam about these crazy tracking vests that are being deployed by a Richmond pre-school. Sounds like the teacher has to check the papers, check the papers a lot!
During NA 227, Dvorak mentioned his son is a beer geek and discovered this delicious, seasonal beer from Anchor called “Hummer”. Close John – the beer is actually called Humming and it’s produced by San Francisco’s Anchor Brewing Co. from August through October.
We at No Agenda Entertainment highly recommend the Anchor brewery tour. It’s usually on Friday’s and take a couple hours. At the end of the tour you get to drink a lot of tasty Anchor products.
During NA 226, Dvorak discussed the case of a young man that was sent to jail for exposing some exploits with Adobe software. – he ended up leaving the USA and returned to Russia where he had more freedom!
Dvorak has a big peeve with San Francisco’s new SFPark smart parking meters. This over $24.5 million dollar pilot program seems like a scam according to Dvorak who thinks the spots should be free and that municipalities probably spend so much money administering parking programs with high paid employees, that they don’t make any money for the city. Well, at least $20 million dollars for these meters came from the federal government!
NoAgendaEntertainment was on the scene late July when these meters were first being installed in SF’s Hayes Valley neighborhood. Dvorak says that these meters were installed in front of Mevio’s offices on 2nd St. but they should have a low price since people rarely use them as there’s free parking nearby. Look for the City to eliminate the free spots so they can charge more at its new meters. Also, Dvorak should be happy that he can just shove his credit card right into the meter so he won’t have to waste ten minutes of meter time feeding coins in the slot.
